Andrea: Ironically we went to LONE ELK Park today...it is the mating season but...ALL THE ELK HAD BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN entertain the visitors!

Andrea Silies replied:

They don't always cooperate. :)

Artist's Description

I got a real kick when the younger bull elk stopped and looked directly at the older bull elk as if to say, "Dude, what's your problem?". The older bull elk on the right with the damaged left eye was in a foul mood this particular morning and had been posturing, sparring and bullying the younger one on the left for the last 30 minutes. Enforcing his dominance. He stopped bullying him immediately after this shot. I guess the "look" worked.

About Andrea Silies

Andrea Silies

Although I enjoy night photography, my true love is hiking in the woods and being around wildlife. I feel blessed living near a wildlife management area. It gives me an opportunity to get close up shots of the animals. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did taking them.
