Description
It's the beginning of mating season or the rut for elk. Romance is in the air.
This mature bull elk appears to be gently whispering sweet nothings in the cow's ear. She responds by turning her head and looking away. She's letting him know she isn't interested (yet).
It's not common to see such a tender display of affection by Elk. Usually, there is nothing subtle about elk mating season.
