This is a profile portrait of a bull elk taken at Lone Elk Park. He is looking mighty proud. This particular bull elk is a loner and mostly keeps to himself.
UPDATE Oct. 2015: This elk finally had his 1st serious battle with the lead bull. He lost the fight and ultimately his life after having suffered a ruptured spleen. RIP big fella.
