Artist's Description
Step back in a time with this serene photo as you watch a deer coming from the woods towards the secluded Carter Shields log cabin in the Smoky Mountains leaving you with a feeling of tranquility.
However, I was busting from the seems when the deer walked around me on the trail and headed towards the cabin. I was mesmerized by the deer walking so closely that I almost forgot to take the picture. Although when I play it back in my mind I do it in slow motion, but the actual experience happened so quickly and then the doe was gone.
It's how I imagine life was like back then. Simple, peaceful, quiet, serene with wildlife all around.
About Andrea Silies
Although I enjoy night photography, my true love is hiking in the woods and being around wildlife. I feel blessed living near a wildlife management area. It gives me an opportunity to get close up shots of the animals. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did taking them.
