Photographic image of a raccoon close up in his natural habitat. This raccoon has learned to panhandle to cars as they drive by looking for handouts. I noticed this year he is looking a little skinny and as you can see, something is wrong with one of his eyes. Cataract perhaps? I can't decide if we should nickname him One Eyed Bandit or One Eyed Jack; unless, of course, we find out he is actually a she.
Although I enjoy night photography, my true love is hiking in the woods and being around wildlife. I feel blessed living near a wildlife management area. It gives me an opportunity to get close up shots of the animals. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did taking them. Thank you Kandace! Very kind of you to say. Even a squirrel gets lucky from time to time. :)
